Two can play this game - as thick as writing “they’re” when you mean “their”?! Apologies for getting your name wrong, but my point still stands. Before feminists came along, domestic violence was just something that many women had to put up with - it was feminist agitation that meant that people became aware of DV as an issue.

Because before feminists came along and started shouting about violence against women, lots of people were taking notice and doing things to stop it, obviously. Don’t be thick, Mike.

Kimmit: you can’t be violent against your partner if you haven’t got a partner. So men who are violent against their partners aren’t single. Not sure that that tells us anything particularly useful about anything, though.

I’m convinced that an empirical study would reveal that men who are violent towards their partners are less likely to be single that men who are not. I don’t have the resources or the time to carry out such a study and so you can obviously dispute that initial premise - but if you’re inclined to accept it, could you offer an explanation?
