This week

I was chatting to Tom on Monday, and he said how hard he finds it to find time to blog since he’s started his new job. I think I’m getting that way too: ending an old job has so many things that need to be wrapped up and so many notes to hand over, that blogging just hasn’t happened this week.

I’ve also been out quite a lot - I’ve eaten here, here and here, as well as the rather less posh here and here, and last night I went to a celebration of 30 years of the Sex Discrimination Act here. Most of this was for work: I don’t have a glamorous job, but you wouldn’t believe that having lived my week.

So this is by way of an apology for not posting. But then, I daresay the antics of my pet loons have kept you entertained. Maybe they should consider the saying Tony posted on his blog earlier:

The best thing a man can do for his children, is love their mother.

So you didn’t fancy posting on Tony’s attempt to introduce periods of internment that would have appealed to Henrik Verwoerd?

No, not really. If you want discussion about that sort of thing, you’re better off going to Harry’s Place - last time I looked they had over 700 comments about the government losing.

There are few things in the world I would less rather do than go to Harry’s Place.
