Philadelphia 2004

I’ve spent the afternoon moving the blog about my trip with the Labour Campaign for Lesbian and Gay Rights to campaign for John Kerry in autumn 2004 over to this blog. It was originally at LCLGR election trip, but here I can make sure it’s preserved and not swamped with spam.

So, if you’re interested in what happened when a bunch of Labour Brits travelled to Philadelphia to work for the Democrats, go to the On Philadelphia 2004 category.

I’d also love suggestions about where to go and campaign next: I had promised to go back to Philly to try to get Senator Rick Santorum out, but the Democrats seem bent on nominating an anti-choice Democrat, Bob Casey Jr, so I don’t know whether in any conscience I can work for him in autumn 2006.

Surely your link on the word “Santorum” should point to this page?

God, is he even further to the right than Kerry? I bet he’s not even richer.

Well it looks like Casey is leading heavily in the polls, anything is better then Rick Sanatorum despite some of his views.

Philadelphia is a great place, so much history and I am pleased I spent a few hours in the place on the way from Washington to New York two years ago as it was well worth seeing.
