West Wing season 7
…starts on More4 on Friday at 9pm. Now i just have to figure out a way to get out of our CLP AGM and home in time to see it.

I thought they cancelled ‘The West Wing.’
Saw the Democratic Convention episode on More4 the other day. Made me realise the little I know about them, but it was mesmerising viewing
This is the last season there will be no more after this (which although is sad I think its quite fitting as I don’t think anyone could replace President Bartlett and his team).
The only thing I have to do on Friday is watch West Wing I can’t wait. I did scan some of the plots when I finished watching season 6 but there weren’t many on the web by then (only about four or five) but I’ve forgotten them all now and have no intention to look them up.
Something else! Did John Spencer die after filming or during!
If the latter, I will be intrigued to see how they deal with that!
Oh and isn’t it about time we have our own version! “The Thick of It” (as funny as it is) is a very lame comparison
We did have Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister. However a less comedy and more serious drama like West Wing would be good. But one which doesn’t simply ridicule and/or criticise our government, and I don’t think anyone would want to make that politics programmes made in this country tend to be on the comic/critique side.
Hate to point this out to you, but where will we be on Sunday evening?!

Yes you can record from digital by using the AV connections from your digibox - just make sure that the digibox is set to playback More4 and the VCR records from the relevant AV channel.
Well it would be fun, if nothing else, to see a UK version (The Germans have their own version already)! Mind you any title we have just wouldn’t be so sexy! ‘The Cabinet Office’ just doesn’t have that ring to it! ‘Whitehall’ perhaps!
BTW ‘Memories’ is on the loudspeakers (am in a coffee shop right now), brings back a few political memories
What exactly do you think “no spoilers” means? Yes, we know that John Spencer sadly died but there’s no need to go into the specifics about how the script-writers are dealing with it.
It could be called “Downing Street” or “Number 10″ but neither of those are any good really; “Downing Street” just leaves the image of Coronation Street opening credits (camera shots along the street up to the famous door).
I know the feeling. I found out who the murderer in ‘Lewis’was, quite by accident, the other day (not being able to watch it all the way through)and was disapointed. But then it did prove my suspicions, I knew it was ****** the first scene I saw him/her

I’m not happy. I missed the Friday episode and the Sunday repeat this week because the living room had no ceiling from Thursday as it was taken down so there was no way of watching it. At times like this DVDs are needed.
One show you forgot about when listing the UK equivalents is House of Cards. You can get that on DVD but sadly they definitely aren’t making any more seasons of it!!
I was out of the country for the first few episodes of season 7 so I am DEFINITELY hanging out for DVDs. Please don’t let it be too long…
Argh… Just happened to flick through More4 and saw an unfamiliar scene on the West Wing - I didn’t know they were showing season 7 already!

I’ve missed two episodes because of work being done in the living room and that put me out of the habit of watching it weekly and I’ve missed a further two episodes AND their repeats. I’m not too annoyed as when the DVDs come out I will no doubt watch all the episodes within a week but I want to watch it now!
I am still awaiting a UK version!
