Just heard the radio version –equally crude & objectifying. Goes through a list of slang terms for sex (including such delights as ‘getting your end in’) and finishes with some trite comment about whatever you call it, if you don’t get consent it’s rape. I think at least it’s a good sign that they’re taking the focus away from it somehow being the victim’s fault, but is this really the best they could come up with?! Seems to imply that everything’s ok so long as you can coerce, bribe or somehow force the woman to say yes…exactly the sort of mindset they should be challenging!

Prescott and McCartney unaware of secret loans arranged by Lord Cashpoint...

The Lords commitee kept in the dark....

Corruption in the affairs of state, secrecy in the party...

... and an eerie silence from many Labour supporting blogs.

Exactly, the objectifying and ignoring of the woman as a real person shown in the thinking behind those posters...well I don't think it's too harsh to say it's a very similar mindset to that of the date-rapist. The campaign should surely be challenging those assumptions about women and rape, not reinforcing them.

It's good that something is being done, but this is really not the way to do it.

Yes, let's try and raise awareness about rape with some sexist and homophobic posters. That'll help.
